The car suspension system is a key part of the car chassis system. The car suspension system consists of several major parts (elastic elements, guiding mechanisms, shock absorbers, and stabilizers). This part of the test is generally carried out using a multi-channel component fatigue testing machine. Through building different platforms, through different directions of forces to achieve the overall fatigue test.
Test machine function description:
This technical solution is formulated according to the user’s test requirements, and is mainly used for fatigue testing of the automobile front axle suspension system. The loading point is the wheel grounding point, and each grounding point is loaded in three directions. The force situation under the loading condition, in order to quickly and accurately evaluate the performance of the axle housing and suspension.
Choice of force point
The 6 servo linear actuators required by the test system act on the grounding points of the wheels on both sides, respectively. The grounding points of the left and right wheels act on three directions of force, which are divided into vertical force, front and rear force, and horizontal transverse force. The force is fixed in three directions by connecting rods, supports, etc., applying forces in different directions respectively. According to the actual force of the automobile suspension system, three directions of force are respectively applied horizontally lateral (simulating lateral force), horizontal front and rear (simulating frictional resistance), and vertical (simulating ground reaction force) at the tire contact point. Simulate the force status of the vehicle under the driving state. The suspension systems on different sides of the same axle are affected by these three forces. During the test, the axle equipped with the suspension system is fixed in the actual loading state. On the gantry, three linear actuators are used to apply forces in different directions at the grounding point of each tire to perform a fatigue loading test. The actions of the six actuators can be completed independently, or according to a certain phase difference requirement Carry out coordinated loading or load test according to external input waveform (road spectrum) to investigate the anti-fatigue performance of the suspension system.
Side force addition
During the test, through the loading arm, find the grounding point of the tire, and install the actuator vertically upwards to complete the vertical force loading test;
It is installed in different directions to complete the front and rear force loading test; the actuator is installed horizontally and horizontally to complete the lateral force loading test.
